FLORENCE - Jeffrey Todd Murray, 47, of Florence, formerly of Blackduck, Minn., died Sunday, May 10, at St. Elizabeth Florence. He was a volunteer and mentor at Florence Elementary School, competed in Special Olympics, wheelchair basketball, baseball and football leagues. Survivors include his parents, Wanda and Ray Murray of Florence; sisters, Shelley Roof of Big Clifty, CQ Shannon Short of Fort Wright and Shaunda Jo Burdette of Hernando, Fla.; brothers, Mike Murray of Blackduck, Minn., Kevin Murray of Union, Derek Murray of Athens, Tenn., Shawn Murray of Walton, Dirk Murray of Independence, Matt Murray of Union and Brett Murray of Union.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, with service following at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence. The body will be cremated. Inurnment will be in Summitt Cemetery, Blackduck, MN.
