Obituary of William Grubbs

INDEPENDENCE - William N. Grubbs, 89, died Saturday, May 30, at Woodcrest Manor in Erlanger. He was an inspector and repairman for Cincinnati Bell, a WWII Navy veteran, member of Falmouth VFW and American Legion who enjoyed fishing and farming. His wives, Mildred Grubbs, Marie Grubbs and Sadie Grubbs, died previously. Survivors include his sons, Robert Grubbs of Florence and Gary and Scott Grubbs of Independence; step-daughter, Theresa Perry of St. Augustine, Fla.; seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, and services are 11 a.m. Thursday, June 4, at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery. Memorials: Alzheimer's Association of Greater Cincinnati, 644 Linn St., Suite 1026,Cincinnati, OH 45203 or the American Heart Association, Cincinnati Metro Office, 5211 Madison Road, Cincinnati, OH 45227.
