Obituary of Elaine Barhorst

INDEPENDENCE - Elaine Adair Tschappat Barhorst, age 65, died Monday at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood. She was a former employee at I.R.S. & a former beautician. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence "Butch" Barhorst of Independence, (2) daughters, Torri Sullivan of Independence and Tammy Barhorst of ParkHills; son, Robbie Barhorst of Louisville; mother Mary Lorraine Tschappt of Greenwood, SC; sister, Mary Jo Breazeale of Greenwood, SC; brother, Dean Tschappat of Chicago, IL; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Msgt. Lyle N. Tschappt (Ret.) formerly of Walton.
A gathering of friends will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Chambers & Grubbs in Independence. A memorial service will begin at 7 p.m at the funeral home.
