FLORENCE - Wilma June Abdon Rouse, 77, died Saturday, August 29, 2009 at her residence. She assisted her husband Jerry in the Boone County Clerk's office for more than 30 years prior to their retirement in 1998. She was a Lifelong member of Hopeful Lutheran Church, member of The Order of the Eastern Star of Florence, member of the Boone County Democratic Executive committee, a founder of the "Prayer Shawl" at Hopeful Lutheran Church and loved to crochet. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry in 2006. Survivors include four daughters, Marilyn K. Howard of Florence, Sheila Lloyd of Pittsburgh, PA, Linda Spencer of Florence and Sandra Rouse of Burlington; 8 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4-8 PM, Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at Hopeful Lutheran Church and Wednesday from 10 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11 AM also at the church. Burial will be in Hopeful Lutheran Church Cemetery.
