FLORENCE - Lela Mae Carter Simpson, age 84, of Florence, died Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at Woodcrest Manor in Elsmere, KY. She was a member of Florence Baptist Church and enjoyed traveling, shopping and most of all spending time with family. Mrs. Simpson is survived by her husband of 66 years, James A. Simpson of Florence; (2) daughters, Sandra Boehle of Cincinnati and Pat Schreiber of Lawrenceburg, IN; (2) brothers, Charles Carter, Jr. and William "Bill" Carter both of Lexington, KY; (3) grandchildren; and (6) great grandchildren.
A gathering of friends will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs in Florence. Memorial services will begin at 3 p.m.
Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
