Obituary of H. Joan Conner

WALTON - H. Joan Poetter Conner, age 72, of Walton, died Sunday, October 11, 2009 at Florence Park Care Center. She was a retired clerk for Internal Revenue Service (22 years), a member of First Baptist Church in Walton (where she taught Sunday School Class for young children), loved her many pets and enjoyed playing bingo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry & Virginia Breeze Poetter; and brother, Carl Robert Poetter. Survivors include cousins and extended family, who knew her as "Aunt Joan", as well as number friends and member of the First Baptist Church Friendship Sunday School Class. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 14, 2009 from 5 to 8 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Walton. Her funeral service will be Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Floral Hills Cemetery.
