MORNING VIEW - Arthur J. Spicer, age 82, of Morning View, died Sunday, November 8, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. He was a retired Conductor for CSX railroad, a marine veteran, and a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Thelma C. Dennis Spicer of Morning View, (4) children, Deborah Sue Finnell of Burlington, Arthur J. Spicer of Corinth, Michael Lewis Spicer of Morning View, and David Wayne Spicer of Morning View; (2) brothers, Wayne Spicer of Cedarville, GA and Donald L. Spicer of Miamisburg, OH; (2) sisters, Opal Marie Clouse of Kettering, OH and Beulah Mays of Irvine, KY; (5) grandchildren; and (3) great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Chambers & Grubbs in Independence. Funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Independence Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to Morning View United Methodist Church at Rt. 177 and Rich Rd., Morning View, KY 41063.
