FLORENCE - Etta Mae Longworth Gross, age 82, of Florence, died Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Florence Park Care Center. She was a member of Berea Baptist Church in Independence and a former Seamstress for Actus, Inc. Ms. Gross was preceded in death by her sons, Arnold Gross in 1994, Don Gross in 2003, and Bill Gross in 2006. Survivors include (2) daughters, Ruth Anne Bailey of Bridgeport, AL and Denise Walls of Florence; (4) sons, Otis Gross of Morning View, and Ronald Gross of Bridgeport, AL; (2) sisters, Eula Ruth Martin of Independence and Louann Bruce of Brandenburg, KY; (5) brothers, Jimmy Longworth of Maulding, SC, Frank Longworth of Centerville, IN, Charles Longworth of Cincinnati, OH, Billy Longworth of Elsmere, and Everett Longworth of Rabbit Hash; (18) grandchildren; many great grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, March 12, 2010 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs in Florence. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Interment will be at Hopeful Lutheran Cemetery.
