Obituary of Rose Wolsing

INDEPENDENCE - Rose Laverne Wolsing, 85, died March 22, 2010 at Hospice of St. Elizabeth Edgewood. She was a retired clerk for Riley's Market, and held memberships with St. Barbara's Church in Erlanger (where she served on the bereavement committee), the St. Barbara Church Senior Group, the St. Patrick Church senior group, and the Hills of KY Dulcimer Society. Mrs. Wolsing was also a past Secretary of the Kenton County Fair Board, past Secretary of the Utopia Club, and a former 4H Leader. In addition she and her husband donated acreage to Kenton County Conservancy for the Wolsing Woods Park. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Harvey & Stanley Beers. Survivors include husband, George Wolsing of Independence; (2) daughters, Barbara Rymarquis of Taylor Mill and Luellen Wolsing List of Independence; son, Allen Wolsing of Benton, IL; sister, Stella Epperly of Baltimore, MD; (6) grandchildren; and (5) great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, March 26, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Chambers & Grubbs in Independence. A dulcimer memorial service will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Barbara Church, 4042 Turkeyfoot Road, Erlanger, KY 41018-2921. Memorials can be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice.
