Obituary of Gloria Shobe

FLORENCE - Gloria K. Howard Shobe, age 80, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. She was a former store detective for J. L. Hudson's and a homemaker. Ms. Shobe attended Florence United Methodist Church, was a past Worthy Matron in the Eastern Star and enjoyed ceramics and gardening. Her husband Virgil Shobe, a daughter Marsha Lou Shobe Fields and a son, Virgil W. Shobe preceded her in death. Survivors include her daughter, Rachel Clendenin of Florence; sister, Iva Jo Bratcher of Owensboro; (3) grandchildren; and (5) great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, May 21, 2010 from 6 to 8:00 p.m. at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence. Eastern Star Services will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services & interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
