I had the pleasure of knowing Bryan through the gym in Maumee. Without him there, it's like a light permanently dimmed. I am so glad that I got the opportunity to know him - what a guy he was! As much as it hurts me, someone who only had occasional but pleasant interaction with Bryan, I cannot imagine the pain to the family and closer friends. Thank you, Bryan, for being. You are missed.

I am a former middle school teacher of Bryan's. He was part of a trial 2 year plan at Woodland Middle School that I had the privilege of having Bryan 2 years in my science class. He was one of those unforgettable students. He has been on my mind ever since I heard about this terrible tragedy. I cannot fathom what your family is going through. Please accept my sincere sympathy.

I did not know Bryan, but I do know what a toll it takes on a family when a young member is beaten to death. My cousin was around the same age as Bryan and was tied up and beaten with a ball bat. The person who did this ended up committing suicide after being questioned by police. It is devastating to the family of the victim. I hope justice will be served for Bryan. My thoughts and prayers are with your entire family and Scott High alums.

Bob and Juanita, I am truly and deeply sorry for your loss. One struggles to find words at times like this, but I can honestly say Bryan was - in a word, unforgettable. I didn't have the privilege of keeping touch with him much after high school but I've always felt, from the day I first met him, that he was one of the most genuine and jovial people I have ever met. I think back on all the memories I have of him and all I can see is his smiling face. That smile had something immortal and something so uniquely Bryan that it will stay will me for the rest of my life. You two should be so proud to have raised such a wonderful guy who has touched so many and lived so "big" that he inspires us all to live every moment as he did - with pure passion and zest for life. I'll tell you one thing, heaven just got a whole lot brighter. This smile's for Bryan. All my best, Kyle

Our heart breaks for all of you! We want to let both of you know how proud we are to have a nephew like Bryan. He was quite special in so many ways. You both can hold your head up high with all the pride in the world, he became quite a man. He touched so many lives which is a tribute to how he was raised. You both can be very proud of all your boys they are quite responsible and care very much for both of you. If there is anything at all we can do or help with, just let us know. Stevenson Family, I met Bryan about a year and a half ago, he was a customer of mine at Jed's BBq and Brew in Maumee, OH. I can honestly say he was truly an electric guy. He had a passion for life I have never seen before. His smile could light up the world. Bryan and I became close friends. I will miss him everyday just like so many people will. I cannot even begin to imagine the pain you are going through, just remember he is looking down on us from heaven with that gorgeous smile. He made this world a better place. Sincerely, Chelsea

Stevenson family, I can't even imagine the pain that your loss has caused. I was one of the many people that took pride in calling Bryan a friend. There are hundreds of unforgetable moments that we shared on the field from winning the regional tournament with COM-AIR in 2000 to playing against one another on the softball field. Bryan was a great friend and competitor but more importantly he was a great man. My family sends their condolences

I get a frantic call from Bryan one rainy, Friday afternoon, "Kmac I'm stuck behind the dugout. Can you pull me out?" Knowing Bryan he was in quite a mess and he was scared to call Bob. Smart guy thought he could drive his Honda Accord behind the 3rd base dugout at Scott during a rain storm and get out. It took an hour of pulling and moving metal drags under his tires to get him out of the muck but we prevailed and he was relieved. I was soaked in mud and rain, while he sat clean and dry in his car trying to drive it up the hill on the drags. Like Hammons always said, "Bryan can walk through a pile of 'manure' and come out smelling like a rose." I wish this was one of those times.

Bob, Juanita, Mike, Mark and the rest of the family, I have typed and retyped this more times than I can count. My heartfelt condolences to each and every one of you. You are the sweetest and most caring people. You welcomed me into your home and lives with arms wide open from the moment I came home with Bryan. He was a great person and he knew he had you all to thank for that. I have so many memories and stories from our time and many travels together that I have and always will cherish. Though we went our separate ways, we continued to keep in touch from time to time and he never failed to update me on the wonderful people he called family. I will never forget his message to me when my little brother passed a few years ago, "He'll never be forgotten." I will now tell you the same thing Bryan told me, "He'll never be forgotten." May God comfort you in your time of loss and over time, replace the tears with smiles of his legacy and memory. ALL my love and prayers, Sammye Jo

This is an awful week, one of the worst I can remember. A week that you want to forget but can't because you don't want to lose the memory of a friend. Baseball has created a bond for so many of us. One that cannot always be explained or understood but is like a magnetic force that keeps friends together. The bond created between myself, Bryan and the rest of our Eagles is unbreakable and special. Losing Bryan is like losing a part of yourself because that group of guys made us whole, no matter how far apart we were. Someday we will walk back on the field together to continue the game we started, and I know number 10 will be there, glove in hand waiting for us.

Bob & Juanita, I am so very sorry for your loss; Bryan was truly loved by all. I'm so glad my family got to know your family through the relationship between Mark and Rhonda and their two beautiful sons Luke and Logan. I went to watch Luke play baseball the other night and his true passion and love for baseball; I could see Bryan in him..he even had on some Oakley sunglasses (and we know Bryan only had the best of everything). Bryan was the light of your life and both you and Bob did everything for him (I'm sure Bryan's looking down from heaven saying "Thanks Mom and Dad"), I know you went over and above the true meaning of being a parent and you should hold your head up high and know you wouldn't have done anything different. You can truly be at peace and have no regrets. My heart goes out to your other sons Mike and Mark. It's a terrible tragedy and our hearts and prayers go out to you and your family. We love you and we'll be there for you. What a beautiful son you raised and how proud you should be. Heaven has added a special angel #10 (R.I.P.) The Rebholz Family.

Bob and Juanita, I am so saddened to hear of the loss of Bryan. I had the privilege of meeting and spending many years with you and Bryan during the knothole baseball years with TMB. We spent so much time together we were like an extended family. Bryan was a beautiful child that grew up to be an amazing man. I am very proud to have had him in my life. I pray that God helps comfort you in your time of grief and that the many wonderful memories of Bryan help you to go on. I like to think that my husband Mark is now with Bryan and they are part of an elite team of angels enjoying the game of baseball in heaven.

Bob, Juanita, Mike, and Mark: We are very sorry for your loss. We will definitely feel the loss also. He was a little brother to me, and I will miss him. I could tell so many stories about Bryan, but you were there for most of them so you already know. He was a great person with an even better personality. Always had to be the life of the party no matter what crazy things we dared him to do (I'd like to think he took that after me!). He will always be remembered in our house as a loveable person, and you should be very proud of the man he turned out to be (despite our trying to corrupt him!). We love you all and please remember that we will always be here for you...no matter what or where! Love, Cooper and Cissy

Words cannot begin to express the sorrow that I have for the entire Stevenson family and the aching that I have felt in my heart since hearing about the death of Bryan. I had the pleasure of knowing Bryan from the age of 7 on through adulthood. I was one of Bryan's teachers in his elementary years at Ryland Heights and I can honestly say in 21 years in education I never had a student who touched my heart with his engery, kindness, compassion for others and just a true love of life the way Bryan did. He was a special young man, who I always checked up on through High School, college and even recently talking to his mother about his successes in his professional life. My heart goes out to the entire family, but especially to his wonderful mother Juanita who I also had the pleasure of getting to know because of Bryan. You are all in my thoughts and prayers every moment! Bryan will always have a special place in my heart. Kelly Conner
