FLORENCE - James Archie Simpson, age 87, died Monday, June 21, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. He was a retired engineer for CSX railroad and a U.S. Navy World War II veteran. Mr. Simpson was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Lela Simpson. Survivors include (2) daughters, Sandra Boehle of Cincinnati and Pat Schreiber of Lawrenceburg, IN; brother, Jack Simpson of San Antonio, TX; (3) grandchildren; and (6) great grandchildren.
A gathering of friends will be held Thursday, June 24, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs in Florence. Memorial services will begin at 7 p.m.
Memorials can be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice.
