Obituary of Lee Rust

Lee Ellen (Johnson) Rust, age 89, of Independence, passed away Monday, July 19, 2010 at Rosedale Manor. She was a former clerk at Cherokee Drugs, a longtime member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church who enjoyed square dancing, bird watching, baking and water-skiing.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roy Rust; a son, Gregg Rust; and brothers Gordon and James Johnson. She is survived by her 4 grandchildren and a great-grandson.
The visitation for Mrs. Rust will be held Monday, July 26, 2010 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home of Independence. Her service will be held Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 11:00 also at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Independence Cemetery.
