Obituary of Barbara Clifton

Barbara Ellen Beagle Clifton, age 74, of Newport, died Sunday, November 28, 2010 at her residence. She was a former District Manager for Beeline Fashions and enjoyed spending time with family. Her husband, Robert Clifton, preceded her in death in 1983. Survivors include her son, Rick Clifton of Augusta; (2) daughters, Kim Faehr of Wilder and Becky Hyatt of Independence; (2) sisters, Emily Wolfe and Mary Jane Ward, both of Taylor Mill; (6) grandchildren; and (9) great-grandchildren.
A gathering of friends will be held Thursday, December 2, 2010 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Memorial service will begin at 7 p.m. Interment will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Highland Cemetery.
