Frank A. "Pap" Day, 85, of Independence, died on Monday, January 10, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare of Edgewood. A member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church and a former member of the Masonic Lodge #747, Mr. Day enjoyed woodworking, watching the Green Bay Packers, playing golf and bowling, and loved food. He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenna Day of Independence. He is survived by his daughters, Linda Ellis of Ft. Mitchell and Terry (Dale) Norman of Independence; 5 grandsons, Tony (Katya) Ellis of Portland, OR, Jeff Ellis of Florence, Joey Ellis of Florence, Ryan Norman of Harrisburg, PA, and Tim Norman of Independence; and 3 great-granddaughters.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home of Independence. The service will be on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 11am at Oak Ridge Baptist Church. Mr. Day will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY.
