Willie was my Mom's(Mabel Irene Tackett Blanton) first cousin. His Mom, Shellie Jayne Blanton was a sister to my two Grandmothers,(Angieline&Dona). I remember Willie (I called him Bill)at our annual Meetings on the Hill at Persimmon Point(better known to us as Jayne Cementery)My Great-Grandmother,Cora Blanton Jayne told her preacher that she wanted to set aside a church-time(3rd.Sun.ofMay)for her huge family to attend church together & have Dinner on the Ground. She wanted this tradition to continue until our LORD JESUS comes to Rapture us to HEAVEN. Bill loved these gatherings and was always so jolly. My family's condolences & prayers are & will be with the family.
