Obituary of Grace Hankinson

Grace Ann Wilburn Hankinson, age 75, of Independence, died January 27, 2011, at Hospice of St. Elizabeth of Edgewood. She was a former Deli Clerk for Cherokee I.G.A. in Independence and a member of Big Bone Baptist Church in Union. Mrs. Hankinson was very family oriented and enjoyed collecting Elvis memoriabilia and watching reality T.V. programs. Survivors include her husband, Marshall Donald Hankinson of Independence; sons, Norm Mayfield and Donald Hankinson, both of Independence; sister, Ann Benecke of Warsaw; grandchildren, Chaz Mayfield, Andrew Mayfield, Norm Fernando Mayfield, Clarice Mayfield, Alisha Hankinson and Robert Hankinson; and great grandchild, Elijah "Willie" Miller. Visitation will be Monday, January 31, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs in Independence. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Independence Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Big Bone Baptist Church.
