Obituary of Ray Baldwin

Ray E. Baldwin, age 78 of Independence, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at his residence. He was a retired Engineer for Conrail Railroad, Korean War Army Veteran, a 50 plus year member of Bradford Lodge #123, 50 plus year member of the Scottish Rite, member of VFW Post #6095, and the Locomotive Engineers Union, who enjoyed playing poker and watching horse racing. He was preceded in death by his Parents, James and Zula Baldwin and 4 siblings. Mr. Baldwin was survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Bert Baldwin, daughter Paula Rae Baldwin of Seminole, Fl., sons Brent Baldwin of Independence and Max Baldwin (Karen) of Independence, 5 grandsons and 5 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Monday, March 21, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home of Independence. The funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. also at the funeral home.
