Obituary of Roy Cox

Roy "Jerry" Gerald Cox, 75, of Walton, passed away, Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare. He retired from BF Goodrich as a warehouse foreman, was a member of Walton Christian Church and enjoyed playing euchre. He was preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer Coleman in 2005 and sisters Marilyn Cox in 1986 and Martha Meier in 2011. Survivors include his wife Shirley (Dennis) Cox; daughters Susan (Mel) Collins of Taylor Mill, KY, Debbie Bowling of Erlanger, Sandy (Joe)Patterson of Florence; son Rob Cox of Florence; sister Margaret Whitaker of Walton; brother Kenny Cox of Florence; grandchildren Jeremy Cox, Chris Bowling, Tara Perry, Courtney Perry, Amber (Collins) Masters, Jarod Collins, Matt Collins, Michael Patterson, Tyler Cox and Jordan Coleman; and great-grandchildren Rodney, Tyler, Daniel, Tiffany, Phoenix, Brennan, Morgan, Carson, Collin, Jaelyn, Amelia and Brooklynn. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM, Friday, April 22, 2011 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home of Independence. Funeral Service will be 10 AM Saturday also at the funeral home.
