I spent many vacations at the home of my aunt and uncle, from the birth of my sisters to vacation bible school. Yes, it truly, was a vacation for me. For breakfast, I remember having the best toast and jelly and sitting up on the highest bar stool at the counter. For some reason, the toast and jelly always tasted the best at their home. Many memories there....many with Marcia....
It was the summer of "76". I had just graduated and had no immediate plans. At that time, I was in a relationship. Marcia invited me to spend the summer with her and babysit Evon. Marcia was the one who sat with me on the porch as I read my heart-breaking letter from a young man who no longer wanted a relationship with me. He fell in love with another. Marcia carried me through that summer. As you can read, I never forgot that....from then on, Marcia and I shared many stories...I loved to listen to her stories. She would listen to me and give advice. She was a dear cousin ... a very close cousin....
