Obituary of Rose Booth

Rose Zela Smith Booth, age 75, of Morning View, died Thursday, May, 19, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Edgewood. She was a Cafeteria Cook for Kenton County Schools at Ryland Heights Elementary, an E.M.T. Squad Captain for the Kenton Community Volunteer Fire Department, and worked as a standby E.M.T. for Thorn Hill Dragstrip. Ms. Booth enjoyed cooking, family gatherings, sewing and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Scott Booth in 1991. Survivors include her children, Danny Booth of Crittenden, Angela Hamilton of Morning View, and Rhonda Frede of Cincinnati, OH; brothers, Eldon Smith of Lexington, KY and Bobby Smith of California; sisters, Lida Abbott of Carrollton, KY, Nancy Bullock of Paris, KY, Anna B. Sorrell of Cynthiana, KY, Eula Hurst of Paw Paw, MI, Annis Krask of Louisville, KY, Janice Walker of Tyler, TX, and Kathy Thorpe of Paris, KY; grandchildren, Christie McClure, Danna Booth, Amanda Booth, Eugene Tolle, and Jerad Blackaby; and great grandchildren, Tyler Salter, Zachary Toras, Erica George, Mallory and Blake McClure.
Visitation will be Monday, May 23, 2011 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Chambers & Grubbs in Independence. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Carlisle Cemetery, Carlisle, KY.
