Obituary of Stanley J. Miller

Stanley J. Miller, age 90 of Newport, passed away Friday morning June 10, 2011 at the Baptist Convalescent Center. He was a retired bricklayer for Newport Steel, an Army Veteran of WWII, a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church, American Legion Post #0203 Latonia and a lifetime member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied craftworkers. He is preceded in death by his wife Opal Bunch Miller in 1992 and brothers Carl, Richard and Clyde Miller. He is survived by: sister Hazel Hammer(Jim) of Alexandria and daughters Carolyn Scharringhausen of Livingston, Tx., Carol Sullender of Cincinnati, Oh. and 3 grandchildren.
Services will be held at Oak Ridge Baptist Church Tuesday, June 14, 2011. Visitation will be from 10 am. till 12 pm. Funeral service will be at 12 pm. Entombment will be in Floral Hills Cemetery.
