Obituary of George Poorman

George "Bill" William Poorman, age 81, of Cincinnati, OH formerly of Orlando, FL died Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Hospice of St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Edgewood. Mr. Poorman was an automotive mechanic and a Korean War Veteran of the Army and Air Force.
He is survived by his daughters, Sandra McElfresh of Morning View and Melissa Janney of Florida; sons, Stephen Poorman, Brian Poorman, Martin Poorman, and Gerald Poorman all of Florida; sisters, Mary Schutte of Ohio and Margaret Marie of Texas; brothers, Bob Poorman of Indiana and Johnny Poorman of Connecticut; 6 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 2, 2011 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home of Independence with the service following at 12pm. Mr. Poorman will be laid to rest at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown.
