Obituary of Mary Estes

     Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Estes, of Erlanger, KY passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the age of 78.

     She was born in Elsmere, KY on July 2, 1939; the daughter of Norbert and Margaret Book. Betty retired as a clerk from K-Mart and was a member of St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Elsmere, KY. In her free time, Betty enjoyed crocheting and frequently dressed up as Mrs. Clause during the holiday season for various organizations with her late husband, David.

     She is survived by her loving children, Jeff Estes, Andrew Estes, Bob Estes, Cindy & Jim Gosney, Dan Estes and Mary & Roger Winans,; brother, Steve and Kathy Book; grandchildren, Whitney, Ashley, Lindsey, Cody, Tanner, Grayson and Jonah; great-grandchildren, Jamison, Scarlett and Caisley; as well as other relatives and friends.

     A visitation for Betty will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017 from 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Henry Catholic Church, 3813 Dixie Highway, Elsmere, KY 41018. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 3227 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, KY 41018.

     Memorials in Betty’s name may be given to the Susan G. Komen of Greater Cincinnati, 6120 South Gilmore Road, Fairfield, OH 45014.
