Obituary of Russell Eugene Speagle

Russell Eugene Speagle, age 83, of Cincinnati (formerly of Walton, KY), passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Indianspring of Oakley.  He was a retired Yardman for Walton Lumber Company, a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of the Walton American Legion Post #277, and Moose Lodge 1469 in Taylor Mill, KY.  Russell also enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting, and watching UK basketball. 

His wives, Lucy Wilson Speagle,  Diannia Speagle, and Eileen Beatty Speagle; and great grandson, Steven E. Mains preceded him in death.  He is survived by his children, , Phyllis Mains (Steve), Pam Dimmerman, and Russell “Rusty” Speagle, II (Kim); sister, Lucille Poston; grandchildren, Nicki Mains, Steve Mains, Heather Bingham, and Holly Tungate; and great grandchildren, P.J. Price, Braxton Price, Dustin Price, Gracie Mains, Madison Mains, Autumn Mains, Christopher Bingham, Hannah Bingham, and Hailey Bingham, Mason Adams; and great-great grandchildren, Tatum Price, Bailey Price, and Alyiha Price. 

A gathering of friends will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m., with a memorial service to immediately follow at 7 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Walton, KY.  Interment will be at Independence Cemetery.
