Obituary of Steve Arville Eugene Tackett

     Steve Arville Eugene Tackett, of Walton, KY passed away at Pristine Senior Living of Three Rivers in Cincinnati, OH on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at the age of 68.

     He was born in McRoberts, KY on August 17, 1949; the son of Hattler and Maudie Tackett. Steve had served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a huge sports fanatic. He loved playing fast pitch softball, watching the University of Kentucky basketball and the Cincinnati Bengals, even though he was originally a Chicago Bears fan. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with the people who loved him most and made him happy, his cherished family.

     Steve was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Frank Tackett; sisters, Maxine Highfield, Goldie O’Neal and Verlie Fleming and children, Stephanie Morea Tackett, Crystal Mae Nell Tackett and Amanda Reynolds.

     He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara “Barb” Tackett; children, Lorissa (Robby) Smith, Daniel (Julie) Cummins, Michelle (Guy) Rion, David (Michelle) LaFluer, Greg (Nina) LaFluer, Robyn (Randy) Randall, Vickie (Martin) Elder, Tammy (Rick Dunn) Collins, Robert (Michelle) Messmer and  Kathy (Jason Collins) England; brothers, Raymond (Nancy) Tackett and Lacey (Connie) Tackett; sister, Dorothy Sparkman; 26 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.

     A visitation for Steve will take place from 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at St. Barbara Church, 4042 Turkeyfoot Road, Erlanger, KY 41018. Burial will take place on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North.
