Obituary of Garry Thomas Brooks

     Garry Thomas Brooks, of Florence, KY passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY at the age of 59.

     He was born in Covington, KY on July 10, 1958; the son of Gayle and Esther Brooks. Garry worked as a flight attendant for Republic Airlines and loved University of Kentucky Basketball, making home-made wine and cooking. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his family.

     He was preceded in death by his father, Gayle and son, Tommy Brooks.

     Garry is survived by his wife, Rhonda Brooks; mother, Esther Lawrence; step-children, Shayla (Randy) Davis, Melissa (Ryan) Webb and Nicholas (Danielle) Skinner; sister, Tina (David) Jaggers; brother, Alan (Anita) Brooks; grandchildren, Kadence Davis, Leland Davis, Karly Davis, Adrian Skinner and Kaycie Skinner; niece, Kristen Jaggers; nephew, Bryan Jaggers; as well as many other relatives and friends.

     A visitation for Garry will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY 41042. A funeral service will be held the following day, Friday, September 22, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Torch Community Church, 6767 Hopeful Rd, Florence, KY 41042. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph New Cemetery, 4500 Foley Road Cincinnati, OH 45238.
