Obituary of Bobby Lee Pate
Bobby Lee Pate, age 76, of Florence passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood.
He was born to the late Maxie and Annie Whitton on November 19, 1940 in Ashburn, GA. He owned Bobby Pate Racing Stables, where he trained thoroughbred race horses, which was his passion.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Floyd, Loren, Steve, David and Ronnie and sisters, Ida Pate and Dorothy “Dot” Larson.
Bobby is survived by his loving children, Bobby (Beth) Pate and Nancy (David) Pate; brother, Craig (Missi) Pate; grandchildren, Joseph Lee, Abigail, Samuel and Tiyanna and many other family members and friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 4PM until 6PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence.
A Memorial Service will begin at 6PM, also at the funeral home.
