Obituary of Clarence Pinney

Clarence L. Pinney, 85, of Independence passed away Tuesday May 1, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare of Edgewood. He was an iron worker for Union 292 and a United States Army Veteran. Clarence enjoyed camping and was a member of the Independence American Legion Post # 275. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence Pinney and Mable Hatfield, parents-in-law Wilbur and Mildred Sawdon, and son Michael Pinney. Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years Beverly Sawdon Pinney; daughters Dawn (Gary) Sander of Union, Debra (Thomas) Sketch of Park Hills, Nanciann Pinney of Erlanger; sons Douglas (Lisa) Pinney of Walton, David (Nancy) Pinney of Liberty, IN, John Pinney of Lutz, FL; sister Jean Speheger of Plymouth, IN; 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and his dog Charlie. Visitation will be Friday, May 4, 2012 from 10:30 AM until time of funeral service at 12:30 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home of Independence. Burial will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown.
