Obituary of Howard Doud

Howard Stanley Doud Jr., age 74, of Florence, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence.

He was born to the late Howard and Virginia Doud on November 14, 1943 in Covington.

Howard retired from Formica Corporation in Cincinnati as a lab technician.

He enjoyed shooting his guns, hunting, UK basketball and he loved doing photography. His greatest joy was his love for animals and sharing them with others.

Howard is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Janice; loving children, Donald (Linda) Doud, Robert (Araceli) Doud and Marla (Henry) Hornsby; brothers, Harold “Harry” (Barbara) Doud and Danny Doud; aunt, Charlotte Watters; grandchildren, Ashley, Adam, Kailyn, Teylor, Andrew and Emma; and two great-grandchildren, Noah and Hayleigh.

A visitation for Howard will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 from 11AM until 1PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence. Interment with Military Honors will immediately take place after the visitation at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown.

Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, are suggested to D.A.V., 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076 or to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
