Obituary of Bennett "Ben" Allen III

Bennett “Ben” Allen III, age 22, of Union, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. He was born on December 7, 1994 in Edgewood and was a Boone County High School graduate class of 2013.

In his younger years he was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and played baseball from kindergarten to high school for the Gold Star Chili Tigers and Boone County High School his senior year. He currently worked for Meggitt PLC in Erlanger.

Ben enjoyed playing and watching baseball, sports cars, hiking and fishing and being outdoors, the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, but his greatest joy however, was being a father to his son Jude and spending time with his family. He was a special person to many people in his life, always giving what he could whenever he could.

Ben had a wonderful sense of humor and used that to his advantage to make people laugh. He was an amazing father, son, brother, and grandson who will be missed dearly by all of his family and friends.

Ben is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bennett Sr. and Wanda J. Allen and his maternal grandmother, Rosalie Keitz.

He is survived by his loving parents, Tessa Keitz Allen, Bennett Jr. and Judy Allen; his son, Jude Bennett Allen; sister, Stephanie Allen (Kris Puckett); mother of his child and girlfriend, Bailee Grusser; grandfather, Mel Keitz; step-brother, Ryan Hutchinson; step-sisters, Kelsey Immegart and Melissa Freimuth; step-nieces and nephews, Addison, Michael, Camden and Carly; and many other cherished family members and friends.

A visitation for Ben will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 10AM until 1PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence. The Funeral Service will begin at 1PM, also at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow at Richwood Cemetery.

Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, are suggested to a memorial fund for Ben’s son, Jude Bennett Allen in C/O Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway Florence, KY 41042.
