Obituary of Betty Jean King

Betty Jean King, age 84, of Independence, Ky., went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 25, 2017. She was a homemaker and member of Union Baptist Church.

Betty enjoyed gardening, sewing, crafts, and cooking. She showed her devotion to Christ by singing hymns, going to church, and reading her bible. Betty’s favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Guy King; siblings, Hoover Hatfield, Martha Hatfield, and Florence Simpson.

She is survived by her loving children, Angie Hampton, Pam Jackson, Donald Kenner, Michael Kenner, Timothy Kenner; 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, along with many other relatives and friends.

A visitation for Betty will be held on December 29, 2017 at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence from 10 until the time of funeral service at noon.  Interment will immediately follow at Highland Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell.
