Obituary of Mabel Cook Roberts

Mabel Cook Roberts, age 95 of Burlington, KY, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018.

Mabel was born in Corinth, KY, to the late Leonard and Hallie Cook. She attended Cornerstone Baptist Church; and loved reading, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family. Mabel is preceded in death by her husband, Maj. David W. Roberts; brothers, Oscar, Obie, and Junior Cook; sisters, Beaulah Frees, and Marie Clinkscales. She is survived by her sons, David and Thomas Roberts; sister, Jan Ryan; along with 6 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.

A visitation for Mabel will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018, from 9 to 11 am, at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Funeral service will begin at 11 am. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, in Nicholasville, KY.
