Dawson Richard Alexander Elder, age 3, of Morning View passed away suddenly in an accident on I-275 in Wilder, KY on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. 

He was the beloved son of Jacob Elder and Megan Ritter; brother of Bredyn Elder, Cohen Elder, and Ainslee Behymer; grandson of Alex and Tracy Elder, Bernie Ritter, and Eve Ramsey; great grandson of Joan “Nanny” Ashcraft, Ed Ryan; nephew of Carley Elder, Taylor Ritter, Ricki Ritter, Courtney Parks, Will Parks, Dylan Elder and Logan Elder; great nephew of Kelly Berryman; and cousin of Ethan, Gracen, Aubree, Abel, Ayvah, Jazmine, Isabella, and Alex.  Dawson loved anything Power Rangers, playing with trucks, collecting stuffed animals, his blankets (babies), and his dog, Frank. 

A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 9th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a funeral service immediately following at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence.  Interment will be at Independence Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Elder family, c/o Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051.  Online condolences may be expressed to www.chambersandgrubbs.com.
