Obituary of Timothy "Tim" Christopher Gripshover, Sr.

     Timothy Christopher “Tim” Gripshover, Sr. of Crittenden, KY passed away at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center on Monday, May 7, 2018 at the age of 61.

     He was born in Burlington, KY on June 1, 1956; the son of Camillus “Bud” and Teresa Gripshover. Tim worked as a self-employed farmer and logger who deeply enjoyed playing euchre. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his cherished family.

     He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tony Gripshover and daughter, Linda Faye Gripshover.

     Tim is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Connie Gripshover; devoted children, Jamie (Amanda Barnett) Schlueter, Tim (Jessica) Gripshover, Jr. and Cori (Alex Smith) Gripshover; siblings, Mary Simpson, Kathy (Don Anderson) Gripshover, Eve (Bernie) Vaske, Charlie Gripshover, Alice (Larry) Kunkel, Rose Gripshover, George Gripshover and Lucy (Kevin) Deaton; grandchildren, Rachelle Barnett, Sydney Barnett, Linda (Lane Maines) Gripshover, Timmy Gripshover III, Ethan Gripshover, Lilliana Gripshover, Noah Buschard and Lillie Smith; as well as many other relatives and friends who will deeply mourn his loss and carry on his life through the many memories they made.

     A visitation for Tim will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. A second visitation will be held the following day, Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Gardnersville Cemetery in Demossville, KY.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family c/o Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home.
