Obituary of L. Wayne Keel

     Leslie Wayne Keel, of Independence, KY passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home on Friday, May 11, 2018 at the age of 77.

     He was born in Millstone, KY on September 18, 1940; the son of Hershel and Clercie Keel. Wayne worked for Weber Frame as a mechanic and enjoyed fishing and tinkering around with anything he could get his hands on. He was a jack of all trades that could fix anything. His greatest joy in life, however, was spending time with his family and friends.

     Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters and 5 brothers.

     He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Glenda Keel; daughters, Theresa L. Keel and Kathy (Kevin) Williams; brothers, Robert D. Keel, Howard Keel and Kennith D. Keel; grandchildren, Leslie M. Stiltner, Joey A Stiltner, Justin Williams, Lauren Williams and Matthew Williams; great-grandchildren, Lilly Lynn Stiltner and Oaklie Grace Stiltner; as well as many other relatives and friends who will mourn his passing and cherish the many memories they shared together.

     A visitation for Wayne will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Burial will immediately follow at Independence Cemetery.
