Obituary of David Millward
David Millward of Independence, KY passed away peacefully, on Friday, May 11, 2018 at the age of 72. He was born in Cincinnati, OH on May 10, 1946; the son of the late Thomas and Lillian Millward.
David was retired from Cincinnati Bell where he was a Data Consultant. David proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member and former Chaplain of the F.O.P. lodge of Northern Kentucky, the VFW Lodge in Independence, former director of the Independence Senior Center, and a former Deputy Sheriff of Kenton County. He enjoyed nature and never knew a stranger. David’s greatest joy in life, however, was spending time with his cherished family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Carol McCann and Thomas Millward.
David is survived by his wife of 53 years, the love of his life and best friend, Pam Millward; daughters, Amanda (Doug) Hils and Jennifer Millward; siblings, Marilyn (Larry) Carr, Michael (Sandra) Millward; grandchildren, Nick (Jessica) Millward, Matt Hils, David Krift, Janie Hils, Jacob Krift; 2 great-grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends.
A visitation for David will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Burial with military honors will immediately follow at Independence Cemetery in Independence, KY.
