Obituary of Charles "Chuck" Courtney

Charles “Chuck” Courtney, of Independence, KY passed away on Monday, May 21, 2018 at the age of 52. He was born in Covington, KY on November 27, 1965; the son of Charles and Juanita Courtney. Chuck loved being a nurse and worked for St. Elizabeth Healthcare. He was known for his generous heart and his passion of helping others. Spending time with his cherished family and friends, especially his nieces and nephew, brought great joy to his life.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and aunt. Chuck is survived by his loving husband, Marty Shannon; parents Charles and Juanita Courtney; brother, Steven Courtney; nieces, Nicole and Shelby Courtney; nephew, Tyler Courtney; 1 great-nephew and 1 great-niece. He will be lovingly remembered by many other relatives and friends.

A visitation for Chuck will be held on Friday, May­­­­­­ 25, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Burial will immediately follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Dry Ridge, KY.
