Obituary of Joyce Armstrong Holmes

Joyce Armstrong Holmes, age 85, of Independence, KY, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 5, 2018.  Joyce loved flowers and enjoyed gardening around her home.  She was an accomplished pianist and artist, skilled in the design of porcelain dolls. Joyce was a member of First Baptist Church of Ludlow.  She is survived by her husband (of 63 years), Leslie R. Holmes; son, Gregory R. Holmes; daughter, Anna Phillips (James); and grandchildren, James Phillips, Jr. and Bethany Ann Orlando (Doug).  Her visitation will be Monday, July 9, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with services immediately following at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence, KY.  Interment will be at Independence Cemetery.  To send flowers or leave condolences please visit www.chambersandgrubbs.com.
