Obituary of Charles Ray King

Charles Ray King, 72, of Independence, died Thursday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. He was a retired meat cutter from the Partridge-John Morel Co., a member of Wilmington Lodge No. 362 and Covington Scottish Rite, past patron of Bradford Star No. 493, deputy marshal for Latonia Lakes, and a former member of Goshen Christian Church. His wife, Charlena Chapman King, preceded him in death.
Survivors include sons, Charles E. King of Batavia, Ohio, Michael R. King of Independence, and Thomas M. King of Newport; daughters, Brenda King of Florence, Terry Faulkner of Elsmere, and Tonya Sheree King Larkin of Akron, Ohio; sisters, Bonnie King of Middletown, Ohio, and Carol Byrd of Milford, Ohio; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery.
