Obituary of Marietta Kathryn Miller
Marietta Kathryn Miller, of Independence, KY passed away peacefully at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY at the age of 88.
She was born in Covington, KY on February 28, 1930; the daughter of John and Rosella Frazer. Marietta was a devoted member of St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church in Independence, KY. She was also a member of the St. Cecilia Prime Timers, St. Patrick Irish Rovers, Independence Senior Center, Holy Cross Seniors, Catholic Order of Foresters, and St. Vincent DePaul. Marietta loved to be around others and help her church, especially during St. Cecilia’s Labor Day Festivals.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Edward Miller; beloved son, Robert Miller; son-in-law, Terry McCann and daughter-in-law, Rebecca Miller.
Marietta is survived by her cherished children, Mary Rose (Paul) Horrall, Carol McCann, Patricia (Ronald) Smith, Teresa Miller, Edward (Dianna) Miller, John Miller, James (Brenda) Miller, Daniel (Mary) Miller, Timothy (Cheryl) Miller, David Miller, Randall (Pamela) Miller and Douglas (Leanne) Miller; brother, Larry (Maxie) Stivers; 30 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends who will mourn her passing and carry on her memory.
A visitation for Marietta will be held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, 5313 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. For those that could not attend the evening visitation and wish to pay their respects, there will be a second visitation at 11:00 AM the following day, Friday, September 14, 2018 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial held at 12:00 PM, both at the church. Burial will immediately follow at St. Cecilia Church Cemetery located just behind the church.
