Obituary of Jose "Joe" L. Dominguez

Jose L. Dominguez, age 84, of Elsmere, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood.

He was born to the late Francisco and Maria Dominguez on July 14, 1934 in Madrid, NM. Jose worked as a welder for G.E .and most recently Esco Corporation.

He maintained a busy lifestyle and enjoyed watching Westerns and cheering on the Cincinnati Reds. Jose’s motto in life was “Happy wife happy life”, which was said to be true by his beloved wife of 63 years, Toncia. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Frank, Willie and Angel Dominguez; sisters, Lupita and Josie; daughter, Clarissa Dominguez and grandson, Michael Burden.

Jose is survived by his wife Toncia; daughters, Athena Wilbur (Arnold), Melissa Kincaid and Robin Garcia; sister, Alice Lovato; brother, Robert “Bobby” Dominguez (Diane); grandchildren, Mary Wilbur, Aurella Clinkscale, Arnie Wilbur, Joseph Wilbur, Cherena Michael, Jonathan Kincaid, Jake Kincaid, Myha Gitlen, Josh Gitlen, Mateya Ollberding, Jared Lay, Jason Burden and Elvis Burden; great-grandchildren, Kyla, Jonah, Jude, Jagger, Landon, Eian, Ramona, Shelby, Lillian, Axl, Finley and Jericho and many other loving family members and friends.

A visitation for Jose will be held on Monday, September 17, 2018 from 10AM until 12PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence. The funeral service will begin at 12PM. Interment will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
