Obituary of Robert H Griffith

Robert H. “Bob” Griffith, age 85, of Elsmere, KY, passed away at home on Sunday, October 14, 2018.

Robert was born in Huntington, IN, to the late A.B. Griffith and Helen Garrison Horner. He was retired from Duro Bag Company, and spent his time watching westerns, driving his red Chevrolet S10, and listening to bluegrass music. Robert loved spending time with his family, and counting his change. He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Lou Griffith; daughters, Brenda Kay, and Sharon Lynn Griffith; brothers, Hearld and Max “Butch” Griffith; and sister, Jennie Shaneyfelf. Robert is survived by his daughters, Mary Givens and Bobbie Jo (Bruce) Thomas; sons, Robert (Penny) Griffith and Rodney (Barb) Griffith; sister, Kay Hyden; grandchildren, Amanda, April, Amy, William, Andrew, Robbie, Amber, Matthew, Brandon, Rodney Jr., and Ryan; great grandchildren, Keith, Ciera, Jenna, C.J., Morgan Jo, Hayden, Kamryn, Benjamin, Noah, Lane, Theo, Levi, Jackson, and Abel. As well as many other adopted great grandchildren.

A visitation for Robert will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018, from 11 to 1pm at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, in Florence KY. Funeral services will follow at 1 pm, at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations in Robert's name may be made payable to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati OH, 45250.
