Obituary of Pete Frye

Pete Frye, of Florence, KY passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence, KY on October 16, 2018 at the age of 67. He was born in Cincinnati, OH on March 7, 1951; the son of Edwin and Gertrude Frye. Peter had worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail handler and was also a member at Immanuel Baptist Church.  He was very active in the Florence Senior Center and the Humane Society and enjoyed playing Wii Bowling and watching UK basketball. Peter was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Toby Frye and Jimmy Frye. He is survived by his siblings, Ellen Schehr and Joseph Frye; friends, Phyllis Boles and Nancy Powell; as well as other relatives and friends who will mourn his loss and cherish his memory. A visitation for Peter will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with a funeral service beginning at 12 noon on October 25, 2018 at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY 41042. The Reverend Doug Foster will preside over the service.  Burial will immediately follow in procession to Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Erlanger, KY. Memorials in Peter’s name may be made to Easter Seals Serving Greater Cincinnati, 2901 Gilbert Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45206.
