Obituary of Samuel Allan King
Samuel Allan King, age 86, of Walton, Kentucky, passed away November 21 at 4:34 a.m. at his home.
Sam was Deacon Emeritus of First Baptist Church, Walton, a veteran of the United States Navy, and a member of the DAV and the VFW. Sam enjoyed singing in the choir and performing solos, doing mission work with the church and other organizations, woodworking, and tinkering.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth Martin King and Edmond King, his sisters, Lillian Ducker and Lois Logsdon, and brothers, Kenneth King, Leroy King, Martin King, and Virgil King.
He is survived by his wife, Zelma Joyce Poore King, daughters, Rebecca Timerding (Eric), Tina Hehman, and Rachel Osborne (James), grandsons, Allan Spivey (Liz), Christopher Hehman (Tiffany), Nathan Timerding, and Duncan Hehman (Alaina), great-grandchildren, Kaiden Coffey, Caliya Spivey, and Mason Watters, sisters Elsie Lloyd of Covington, and Frances Ducker of Florence, along with several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Walton, 47 S. Main Street, Walton, Kentucky. Visitation will be held Monday, November 26, 5:00-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, November 27, 10:00-11:00 a.m. with funeral services following at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church, Walton, Kentucky.
