Obituary of Billy Ray Letcher

Billy Ray Letcher, of Independence, KY passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ft. Thomas, KY on Friday, December 21, 2018 at the age of 76. He was born in Covington, KY on September 7, 1942; the son of the late William and Minnie Letcher. Billy retired as a Railroad Conductor for CSX Corporation and was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church. He took pleasure in working on his farm and enjoyed fishing and traveling. 

His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his beloved family. Billy is survived by his daughter, Beth Lynn Hickey (Kevin); son, Billy Ray Letcher II (Cathy); grandchildren, Connor Hickey, Alexis Hickey, Anna Hickey, Carly Letcher, Cara Letcher, Cayla Letcher and Billy Ray Letcher III; as well as many other relatives and friends who will mourn his loss and continue to cherish his memory.

The family will welcome guests from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church, 3711 Tibbatts Street, Covington, KY 41015, where the funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM.

Interment will immediately follow in procession to Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, KY 41015.

Donations may be made to the Calvary Christian School, 5955 Taylor Mill Road, Covington, KY 41015 in memory of Billy Ray Letcher.
