Obituary of Barbara A. Michael

Barbara Allen (Densler) Michael, age 74, of Walton, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at her residence. She was born on April 1, 1944 to the late, Floyd and Ernestine Densler in Glencoe, KY.

Barbara worked as a bus monitor for the Kenton County Schools and was a homemaker. She enjoyed mowing her yard, being outdoors, quilting, gardening, UK Basketball and spending time with her beloved family.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Karl Michael; son, David Allen Michael; and 8 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Carla Michael, Andy Michael (Andrea) and Sherry Browning; siblings, Peggy Chambers, JoAnn Shumate (Homer), Vera Batton and Danny Densler; grandchildren, Marcy Burris (Kevin), Hunter, Addisyn and Palmer Michael; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Shelby and Payton Burris; best friends, Linda Coomer and Charlene Landrum; and her caregiver, Millie Townsend.

Visitation for Barbara will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 10AM until 12:30PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Walton.

The funeral service will begin at 12:30PM. Burial will take place at a later date at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown.

Memorial donations in Barbara’s name can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
