Obituary of Richard VanRoosendaal

     Richard Keith “Van” VanRoosendaal, of Morning View, KY passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019 at Florence Park Care Center at the age of 83.

     He was born in Salt Lake City, UT on September 4, 1935; the son of Arien and Jane VanRoosendaal. Van had worked as a cook for several restaurants and was a veteran of the Unites States Air Force. He was a devoted Morman and in his spare time loved to fish.

     Van was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.

     He is survived by his wife, Mickey; loving children, Debbie VanRoosendaal, Vickie (Doug) Morrison, Kathy (Kent) Wheeler, Richard (Barb) VanRoosendaal, Jr., Paula (Sherman) Thorpe, Lorie Justice, Shawna Siphred, Phyllis Jane “P.J.” Hendrix and Courtney (Sean) Whelan; siblings, Lou Ella and Mike; many, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends who will mourn his loss and cherish his memory.

     A prayer service for Van will take place on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY 41042.

     Expressions of sympathy may be made in Van’s name to the VA Hospital, 3200 Vine Street, Cincinnati, OH 45220.
