Obituary of Evelyn Annette Short

Evelyn Annette (Goss) Short, age 67, of Walton, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at her residence.

She was born on November 25, 1951 in Covington to the late, William and Alice (Hoover) Goss. Evelyn was a National Sales Leader for the Longaberger Company for over 30 years and attended church at First Christian Church in Covington.

Throughout her life she enjoyed gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, and spent countless hours raising money for the American Cancer Society.

Evelyn is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Arnie Short; children, Ryan Goss (Sarah), Chris Short, Matt Short (Kellie) and Jami VanSchuyver; siblings, Alicia Roell (Bill), Debbie Goss (Jeanie), and Kim Artmayer (Rick); grandchildren, Chris Jr., Arlis, Will, Ellie, Miles, Coby and Brylie, 4 nephews and 3 nieces; and many other beloved family members and friends.

A visitation for Evelyn will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 12PM until 2PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence.

A memorial service will immediately follow at 2PM, also at the funeral home.

Memorial donations in Evelyn’s name are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45206.
