Herman, when living at Regency Manor walked through the field every morning and came to our home on Lincoln Drive in Independence, He of course was so concerned about our property having so much clay and he always wanted to dig. At various times he always did odd jobs around our home. We tried to pay him because he helped us a lot but he would never take a dime, however, he was so appreciative of the home cooked luncheon I prepared for him every day he came. He said it was like home cookin'. We had Herman to our home on many different holidays and one year his brother came to visit us and thanked us for looking after Herman. My husband, Harold, took a photo of Herman and i riding together in a lawn cart one day as we were coming from in back of the property.. He just grinned and thought that was the most marvelous ride. He sure will be missed by his friends around Independence.
